Untuk pertama kalinya sejak digelar pada tahun 2006 silam, tim tari Universitas Mulawarman (Unmul) berhasil memenuhi ekspektasi civitas akademika universitas dengan menjadi juara umum Festival Tari Borneo (FTB) VI tahun 2016. Kepastian tersebut diumumkan dalam malam anugerah yang berlangsung malam tadi, Kamis, (22/09) di GOR 27 September Unmul.


Hasil keputusan dewan juri yang merupakan para peserta perwakilan 16 universitas dari Negara Indonesia maupun Malaysia, menempatkan Unmul sebagai unggulan dalam segala lini. Universitas yang memasuki usia ke 54 tahun ini, berhasil meraih anugerah koreografi/penata tari, busana, musik, dan tari terbaik hingga akhirnya diumumkan menjadi juara umum ajang tari dua tahunan negara serumpun itu.

Mengangkat tema mempererat tali silaturahmi melalui budaya, serangkaian kegiatan FTB yang dimulai sejak 19 September itu, ditutup secara resmi oleh Rektor yang diwakili oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni, Dr. Ir. Encik Akhmad Syaifudin., MP.  Sebagai ketua panitia sekaligus penanggung jawab FTB VI, dirinya menyatakan saat ini Unmul mengusung visi sebagai universitas berskala internasional. Penyelenggaraan FTB dirasa sebuah langkah kecil untuk mewujudkan visi tersebut.


“Target sukses pelaksanaan dan sukses prestasi Alhamdulillah dapat terlampaui dengan menghantar Tim Tari FTB Unmul menjadi Juara Umum FTB VI 2016. Dalam pementasan tari yang dihadiri ratusan penonton ini, tentu Lipan raksasa yang dimaksud bukan dalam wujud sebenarnya, melainkan lipan yang ditampilan tim tari FTB Unmul ini adalah sebuah replika sebagai properti pendukung dalam penampilan tari kreasi berjudul “Danau Lipan Bercahaya”.

Menutup penampilan terakhir, Rabu, (21/09), 16 penari dari Kampus Gunung Kelua, mengangkat cerita rakyat Kalimantan Timur yaitu legenda Danau Lipan. Tenggelamnya kapal bangsawan China beserta prajuritnya karena keganasan lipan jelmaan putri bernama Aji Bidara Putih yang kemudian membentuk daratan dan danau yang disebut Danau Lipan.


Senada dengan kostum yang digunakan, dalam cerita, bangsawan China melamar Aji Bidara Putih namun lamarannya di tolak. Karena hal tersebut, bangsawan China beserta prajuritnya menyerbu Aji Bidara Putih. Diketahui, Danau Lipan terletak di kecamatan Muara Kaman kurang lebih 120 km di hulu Tenggarong ibukota Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur. Meskipun bernama Danau, daerah tersebut bukanlah Danau, namun merupakan sebuah daerah padang luas yang ditumbuhi semak dan perdu.

Setelah dua hari berlangsung, malam ini, Kamis, (22/09), perhelatan FTB VI akan berlanjut dengan malam anugerah dengan agenda pengumuman juara umum, penerima anugerah koreografi, musik, busana, tarian serta penyerahan hadiah juga pengumuman tuan rumah FTB berikutnya. (hms/frn)
